We are just days away from the start of the January transfer window, with clubs lining up their mid-season business ahead of a busy and intense second half of the campaign.

The Reds have been linked with multiple players as of late with central defenders appearing to be the talk of the town for Jurgen Klopp and his side after the season-long injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez. Despite this, there has still been room for players in other positions to be linked with a move to Anfield.

Midfielders such as Yves Bissouma and Renato Sanches have been mentioned over the last few weeks – but the recent name doing the rounds could lead to some big business on the horizon for the club.

Borussia Dortmund and England international Jadon Sancho has been linked with a move to the club by respected journalist and reporter Fabrizio Romano on the Que Golzao podcast via Anfield Watch on Twitter, with the Italian confirming the Reds’ interest ahead of the more likely and apt time of the summer transfer window in the coming months…

Sancho has grown to become one of the most exciting talents in football over the past few years since moving to the Bundesliga and has earned the accolades and recognition he is currently receiving as well as the transfer links that have been popping up over the past year.

Could Liverpool snap up Jadon Sancho?

No, far too expensive

Currently rated at £90 million according to Transfermarkt, Sancho will cost a pretty penny for any club in the summer, and with other clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester United also linked, the Reds will face some healthy competition for the 20-year-olds signature.

The Red Devils did try to sign the winger last summer with Dortmund holding firm on their £108 million evaluation but United couldn’t strike a deal with the German club.
