According to Spanish outlet La Razon, the Reds have been linked with a move for 21-year-old Nigerian and Villarreal winger Samuel Chukwueze.
The winger has most recently been reported to be of interest to Real Madrid via the Spanish outlet, as well as Manchester United, Leicester, Everton, Chelsea, and Wolves – but Villarreal are reportedly demanding no less than the £80 million release clause set for the Nigerian winger.
So far this season, Chukwueze has scored 1 goal with 1 assist from 9 appearances in La Liga – an average return given the supposed price tag set on his head and in my opinion, not worth it for the Reds.
I think the transfer is nowhere near worth it for £80 million. I don’t disregard the proposals made about him being one of La Liga’s brightest young talents, especially not having seen much of the youngster play.

There are plenty more options out there in the footballing world for cheaper and with better returns in their careers – and with Diogo Jota joining the club just a few months ago, there isn’t really any need for the Reds to invest further in their front line with the quality already their at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal.
The club have also been linked heavily as of late with an array of defensive talent due to the club’s current injury list, with Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk out for the majority of the season. Names such as Dayot Upamecano, Milan Skriniar, Perr Schuurs, and Ozan Kabak have done the rounds recently, all of which would be viable options ahead of the January transfer window.
