Despite the opening of the January transfer window on Friday, there are still rumours and deals being discussed ahead of the summer transfer window in a few month’s time – with Liverpool players also doing the rounds in the rumour mill.
After his recent interview with Spanish publication AS, Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah set tongues waging after failing to rule out a possible move in the future to either of the Spanish giants of Real Madrid or Barcelona, stating that his future ‘was in Liverpool’s hands’.
This has led to much speculation over Salah’s future at the club, with Goal.com Liverpool reporter Neil Jones even stating that the Reds will be offering Salah an improved contract after the rumours started to snowball.

However, Sky Sports journalist Angelo Mangiante confirmed on Twitter that Real Madrid will be planning a swoop this summer for Salah as their marquee signing…

Whether this will be a transfer that actually materialises is remained to be seen – Salah has been a revelation since joining the club in 2017 and has gone on to become one of the best players in the world at the club so there is no surprise that club’s such as Real Madrid are interested in the 28-years-old.
Recent rumours over the Reds’ interest in PSG forward Kylian Mbappe had surfaced, with it apparent that the club would only be interested in a move for the future Ballon d’Or winner if either of the current front-three were to be sold to raise funds out of Sadio Mané, Roberto Firmino, or Mo Salah – meaning if the Egyptian were to leave for the Spanish capital at the end of the season, the club could be in a prime position to make a move for the Frenchman.
